In recent years, regenerative medicine has gained increasing attention in the treatment of chronic neurological diseases. One of the most intensely researched areas is the use of stem cells and exosomes in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).

ree

In this context, Prof. Dr Dušan Marić, one of the pioneers of modern regenerative therapy in the region, has spent the past three years applying stem-cell and exosome treatments in selected MS patients, monitoring their reactions, subjective changes, and daily functioning.

Patient Experiences — What Improvements Are Reported Most Often?

Although stem-cell and exosome treatments are not yet part of standardized MS therapy and belong to the domain of advanced biomedical approaches, many patients treated by Prof. Dr Marić have reported subjective improvements in several aspects of life.

The most commonly reported changes include:

✅ Reduced pain and stiffness

Many patients reported feeling “lighter,” with fewer daily discomforts in muscles and joints.

✅ Disappearance or significant reduction of dizziness

For some patients, dizziness — a common MS symptom — became noticeably less frequent or stopped entirely.

✅ Improved functioning in daily activities

Patients noted better stability, increased energy, improved mobility, and greater ability to perform everyday tasks.

✅ Fewer or no panic attacks

Some patients reported psychological relief, reduced anxiety, and improved emotional well-being.

✅ Strengthened immunity

Patients observed fewer colds, faster recovery, and an overall increase in resilience.

✅ Changes observed on MRI scans

In several cases, follow-up MRI scans showed that certain MS-related lesions appeared less pronounced or were not clearly visible.

These findings are always interpreted individually and in consultation with a neurologist, as MRI results can be influenced by various factors.

Important Note

These experiences reflect individual reactions and do not guarantee identical results for all patients.

Why Are Stem Cells and Exosomes Interesting to Science?

  • They support regenerative processes

  • They may influence inflammatory and autoimmune mechanisms

  • They may contribute to tissue recovery

  • They regulate cell-to-cell communication, which is crucial in neurological disorders

Because of this, ongoing research continues worldwide.

Conclusion

Patient experiences from treatments performed by Prof. Dr Dušan Marić suggest that regenerative medicine may have the potential to improve the quality of life in individuals with MS. However, it is important to emphasize that results vary among individuals and every therapy requires thorough medical evaluation.
